The decision to authenticate or legalize (apostille, attest, certify) a document or to grant or to deny the application for a visa is a decision of the country to which the application is made, and as such is outside the control of Notary Depot Inc.

Notary Depot Inc. makes every effort to provide the most updated and accurate information regarding requirements for processing documents and to secure the prompt completion of every request. However, the requirements and rules for the authentication and legalization of documents (certification, attestation or apostille) are subject to government changes without notice so we do not assume responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided. The decision to authenticate or legalize (attest, certify or apostille) a Canadian document is entirely up to the discretion of the issuing Embassy, Consulate or government agency, we do not guarantee approval.

The Notary Depot Inc. guarantee of one (1) business day and/or 24 hour authentication applies when the document is received by Notary Depot Inc. on Monday and before 12 noon EST on Friday. The guarantee is not applicable when the government office of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada is closed due to a holiday or other unforeseen circumstances, and the documents cannot be processed due to closure. Notary Depot Inc. will make every possible to advise of such circumstances.

Charges including additional service fees are the responsibility of the applicant or their representative. They are due and payable immediately and may be collected without notice and may not be refunded. We do not assume liability for delayed, lost, stolen or damaged documents, visas and/or passports when they are not in the control or possession of notary Depot Inc. That would include when in the control or possession of others such as couriers, embassies and or consulates and due to causes beyond its control and not occasioned by its fault nor due to any act of negligence of any other party, war, strike, civil turmoil, riots, fire, acts of any government agency thereof, failure of transportation communication, or acts of God

Notary Depot Inc. shall not be responsible for loss or damage to documents nor for delays in processing of documents due to circumstances or causes beyond its control, nor does it assume any responsibility whatsoever for injury, damage, loss, accident or delay to any person or property which shall arise due to causes beyond its control and not occasioned by its fault nor due to any act of negligence of any other party, war, strike, civil turmoil, riots, fire, acts of any government agency thereof, failure of transportation communication, or acts of God.

Notary Depot Inc. disclaims any liability for losses, damages, forfeitures of deposit or expenses, damages of any kind whatsoever incurred by the applicant in the event the document or the visa applied for by Notary Depot Inc. on client’s behalf is denied or not obtained within a stated time period. The authentication and legalization (attestation, certification or apostille) of a document or granting of any visa is subject to Terms and Conditions stated herein.
